OK Bushwalkers

The OK Bushwalkers were a semi-official bushwalking and activities club that I ran in Melbourne from early 2001 until the end of 2005 when I moved to Canberra for work.

The web site was actually a test-bed for evolving trends in web and interaction design and had was re-designed from scratch each year to try out new ideas.

Manab Seva Mission

The Manab Seva Mission is situated in West Bengal, India, and needed an external web site managed by volunteers from western countries to help promote the good works of the mission to people living in more developed nations.

A friend who was working at the Mission asked me for assistance and I built the site in 2009 to help out. The image here is of the Home page and it promotes the four main goals of the Mission.

Manab Seva Mission

(continued)

The inside of the site is filled with basic information about the work of the Mission, and is liberally sprinkled with photographs of the people who live and work in the Mission, and in the nearby villages.

In using these photos I wanted to try and build a bridge between our cultures and show readers in simple impressions of the everyday lives of the people who are dependent on the mission's work.

The image here is of the page that shows where in India the mission is situated.
